Forgotten Canoe I
The curve of the rain soaked wood is hardly noticed as you stride by, so many generations later. Unaware of the small vessel’s importance in past adventures. The decayed hull, now almost part of the forest floor, once carried them, laughing, across the pond to the little island, their happiest of places. In a land without chores, or rules, or homework, they passed those summer days. Just the turtles, and tadpoles, and each other for company. Knowing no one would miss them until supper.
This work is 20” x 20” x 1.5” on wood panel. Mixed media of hand-painted paper and acrylic paint. Free shipping. Scroll down to view video.
