Canyon Magic
This collage is part of an ongoing series I call Travel Art. Each one is made from a small kit that I carry, and sometimes elements found in my surroundings. This piece was created in Cody, Wyoming when I was staying with my sister and her husband, as my sister recovered from a life-threatening illness. It was with giddy relief that I fashioned each detail. So grateful that it was now appropriate for simple and joyous tasks. Three weeks earlier, I wasn’t sure I’d ever talk with her, laugh with her, again. It did feel like a little bit of magic. Let this deep hued and richly textured piece bring some magic to your space. Collaged with my hand-painted papers and acrylic paint this work is 5" x 7" and presented in an 8" x 10" x 1 3/8" black metal frame. Scroll down for a video viewing. Free shipping.
